Tanzanian Goat Appeal
Tanzanian Goat Appeal Donation
How this helps
Currently in Arusha, Tanzania, we have 100 families who are waiting to receive their in-kid Irish dairy goat. These goats have been donated by generous farmers from all over Ireland and are currently quarantining in Shelton Abbey Open Prison before they depart Ireland bound for Dar Es Salaam.
Goats can produce anywhere from 3-4.5 litres of milk per day. Surplus milk is then sold at the local market or bartered for other foodstuffs. This allows families to earn an income and work themselves out of poverty.
So we have the goats and we have the families who have completed their training and are waiting to receive their animal. The missing link is a kind- hearted person like you, who wants to help someone change the course of their life.
