Study Tours are a great tool that enables donors to see the sustainable solutions that Bóthar provides in projects throughout the world. Study Tour participants have a unique opportunity to see first-hand how their donations are changing lives and protecting the earth. If seeing is believing, then our donors become believers because of their study tour experience.
Study Tours are part of Bothar's educational mission. Participants are given the chance to see how Bóthar works in the field, how the organisation interacts with communities and brings families and entire communities out of poverty.
Announcing our 2010 Study Tour!
Kosovo, Europe’s newest nation, will be the location for the Bóthar Study Tour this Autumn – 24th to 29th October. After the ravages of the Balkan wars of the 1990’s, Kosovo is beginning to blossom again. Much of this re-emergence and growth is due to aid provided through organisations like Bóthar. Over the past 10 years, hundreds of Irish dairy heifers have been gifted to families left destitute after the war. Bóthar is proud to be part of this recovery and much of the credit goes to the many Irish farmers who donated these heifers.
Our Study Tour is open to all those interested in seeing out work in Kosovo; farmers, teachers or those donors who support our work in other ways as well. Typically, these trips contain just the right amount of project visits, sightseeing and downtime. This 6-day, all inclusive tour to Kosovo promises to be a great experience. Costs per person will be approximately €1,200 or STG£1,000.
If you are interested in this trip, simply contact our Study Tour office without delay to book your place or to get more information. Phone 071 9120100 or email events@bothar.ie
