Study Tours are a great tool that enables donors to see the sustainable solutions that Bóthar provides in projects throughout the world. Study Tour participants have a unique opportunity to see first-hand how their donations are changing lives and protecting the earth. If seeing is believing, then our donors become believers because of their study tour experience.
Study Tours are part of Bothar's educational mission. Participants are given the chance to see how Bóthar works in the field, how the organisation interacts with communities and brings families and entire communities out of poverty.
Future Study Tours:
Rwanda Study Tour
Rwanda has been the destination of many airlifts of Irish dairy heifers in recent years. Need in Rwanda are great but so is the opportunity for poor people there to prosper given the chance. Bóthar's dairy programmes in Rwanda provide just such a chance.
Bóthar is hoping to take a group of people on a Study Tour to Rwanda later this year. At this early stage all plans/costs are provisional. Bóthar know that in the current economic climate that it will be difficult for people to make the commitment. The Study Tours were suspended in recent times for this reason but Bóthar now feel that the promotion of our work through this method should commence again. There is no better way to account for the work we do than to show our projects to our donors and supporters first hand.
At this stage costs and dates are to be confirmed but it is provisionally planned to make the trip late October or early November and costs will be in the region of €2,500 per person. An 8-day trip should be just about right to allow for the necessary travel, work and rest which are all an integral part of these trips to the developing world.
If at this stage, you have an idea that you might be able to join us on this Study Tour, contact Bóthar at your earliest convenience to register your interest or to receive a booking form and an itinerary.
