EGGS-STREMELY HELPFUL HENS!
Through Bóthar's chicken projects in Africa, Asia and South America families receive a flock of fifty laying hens along with the training and assistance required to establish their own egg-producing unit. Eggs become an important commodity to recipient families. Having reached maturity, hens can lay up to 200 eggs per year, the family can sell the eggs to help pay school fees and earn much needed cash.
Pecking at insects and weeds the chickens also scratch up the soil with their sharp beaks and claws and enrich it with their droppings, making crop yields more fruitful. So why not put all your eggs in one basket and send a flock of egg-stremely helpful hens to a poor family?
Your donation also covers training & preparation of a family to receive an animal, transporation of the animal & full veterinary back up for a number of years.
