Bothar 2010 Calendar

This Christmas season, Bóthar, in association with Glenisk Organic Dairy, has once again produced a fundraising calendar. The aid agency that specialise in the use of livestock, use their calendar not just to raise funds but also to create awareness about the work the agency does overseas.
Each month shows examples of the work of Bóthar; it may be the relaxed face of a project participant in China or a farm animal comfortable and productive in its new home in Albania. Each year, by using many forms of livestock and through the generosity of Irish donors, Bóthar are able to establish poor families throughout the developing world with small farming enterprises. Through time, recipient families are led to a place of relative comfort.
At the recent launch of the 2010 calendar project, Pat McCarrick of Bóthar said “we provide families with something useful; something that will serve people and allow them to get on with their lives. In a funny way, this calendar does the same thing. So I would urge people who intend to get a calendar this Christmas to get the Bóthar calendar. In a practical way, over the year, it will actually help others towards a better life”.
Glenisk Organic Dairy, from Tullamore in Co. Offaly are the sponsors of the calendar for the second year running. Bóthar are very grateful for this collaboration which will allow the project to raise increased fund. Vincent Cleary, MD, Glenisk said “we are delighted to support this project to raise funds for the vital work that Bóthar does around the world.”
Copies of the calendar are available direct from Bóthar. Simply contact their Fundraising Projects office in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo. The calendar casts €10 (STG £8) per copy. Allow €2 (STG £2) for P&P.
